Bushidō (武士道) is the centuries-old code of the samurai — a path of honour, discipline and character that reaches far beyond the walls of the dojo. When our founder Sensei Zaida De Sousa began her martial arts journey in 1986, and trained in Japan during the 2008 World Karaté Championships, she discovered that true martial arts are never just about technique. They shape who you become. The name Samouraï-Do was chosen for exactly this reason: because here, we train the body — and forge the spirit. Ze vormen wie je wordt. De naam Samouraï-Do werd om precies die reden gekozen: want hier trainen wij het lichaam — en smeden wij de geest.
