Point Fighting
Semi-contact, stop-action scoring. Speed and accuracy above all.

Light Contact
Continuous light strikes to head and body. Decision on points at the end.

Kick Light
Light contact + low kicks (thigh level) allowed. Full range of techniques.
Low kicks
Musical Forms
Individual or team kata on music. Judged on technique, power and creativity.
Artistic
Forms without Weapons
Individual technical demonstrations. Strikes above the belt only. KO or points decision.
Full power
Low Kick
Full contact + low kicks to thigh allowed. Most practised in our club.

Full contact + low kicks + knee strikes. Dynamic and spectacular.

ℹ️ Unlike traditional martial arts, WAKO kickboxing has no strict age requirement for coloured belts. Progression is based on technique and training time. A minimum age of 16 is generally required for 1st Dan black belt.
